




The Asia-Pacific Futures Network proudly announces the winners of the APFN 2023 awards on World Futures Day. These awards are given in order to acknowledging the growing importance of Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight in Asia and the Pacific.
They are only given in three categories:
(1) Individual Contribution in an institution enhancing Futures Thinking in Asia and the Pacific,
(2) Best article enhancing Futures Thinking in Asia and the Pacific in collaboration with the Journal of Futures Studies
(3) The most significant contribution as an institution to the Asia-Pacific Futures Community.
The 2023 winners are:
1: Individual Contribution: Prof. Dr. Dzulkifli bin Abdul Razak, Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia
2: Most significant contribution as an institution: The Innovation Foresight Institute at the National Innovation Agency of Thailand
3. Best overall Futures Article published in the Journal of Futures Studies: Mr. Dave Adams, Head of Strategic Foresight, Sport NZ
with two honourable mentions given to Dr. Nur Anisah Abdullah & Ms. Azra Naimi Ismadi for the best research &methods article
and Mr. Steven Lichty for the best philosophical-focused article
